Aion 2 Boss Guide: Terminator Barot (Coredit Sanctuary Final Boss)

Apr-14-2026 PST Category: Aion 2

This guide covers the third and final boss of Coredit Sanctuary, Terminator Barot. The fight includes major phases at 75%, 50%, and 25% HP, plus filler mechanics between them. Master these phases to clear the instance and collect your rewards. Once you defeat Barot and claim your loot, you may find that upgrading your newly earned gear requires significant currency; if you fall short, you can buy Aion 2 Kinah to cover the costs of enhancement, tuning, and socketing without delay.

Phase 1: 75% HP – Barot Make Boom Boom

At 75% HP, Barot locks his stagger bar and jumps to the center. Anyone standing under the landing point takes moderate damage and gets knocked down.

The Mechanic:

Orange bombs spawn around the arena.

Each party member receives a number from 1 to 8.

Barot casts "Barot Make Boom Boom" and rolls toward each member in numerical order.

If Barot hits a bomb, that bomb disappears.

After the eighth roll, any remaining bombs explode and wipe the entire group.

Positioning Strategy (by number):

Numbers 1, 2, 4, 5, 6, 8: Stand directly on top of your bomb.

Number 3: Wait off to the side until Barot leaves the center before moving to your bomb.

Number 7: Stand slightly off-center toward Number 8's position.

Execution Steps:

All members take their positions according to their number.

Watch for Barot to turn toward you.

Move out of the way the moment he faces you.

Let him roll through your bomb to remove it.

After the eighth roll, if all bombs are cleared, Barot rolls a ninth time toward the fourth member.

Critical Rule: If all bombs are cleared, the group survives. If even one bomb remains, the entire group wipes.

Phase 2: 50% HP – Bomb Throwing Phase

At 50% HP, Barot jumps to the southern platform and pulls everyone toward the ledge.

The Setup:

Spread out immediately to avoid overlapping damage.

Twelve bombs spawn in fixed positions around the platform.

Poison covers the lanes between rectangles, dealing rapid ticking damage.

Random area-of-effect attacks drop on all rectangles, dealing damage and knockdown (these can be blocked or dodged)

Barot shoots slow projectiles that inflict a stacking burn effect.

Barot's HP bar becomes a tick bar with 8 HP remaining.

How to Execute:

Walk to a bomb and pick it up.

Walk to the ledge and throw the bomb at Barot.

Each bomb removes exactly 1 HP from the tick bar.

The group needs to land 8 successful bomb throws.

Role Assignment:

Clerics stay in the center to heal the group.

All remaining force members handle running bombs to the ledge.

Time Limit: You have approximately 30 seconds. If the timer runs out, Barot one-shots the entire group.

After Eight Hits: Barot jumps back to the center of the main arena.

Phase 3: 25% HP – Bomb Mechanic Repeats

At 25% HP, Barot repeats the bomb mechanic from Phase 1.

Key Differences:

Bombs now spawn in three different patterns instead of one.

The same positioning strategy from Phase 1 covers all three patterns.

Pro Tip: Practice the positioning at 75% so the entire group is ready for the 25% phase. By the time you reach 25%, the positioning should be muscle memory.

Filler Mechanic Clusters (Between Major Phases)

Between the 75%, 50%, and 25% transitions, Barot performs several filler mechanics. Learn each one to survive.

Puddle Cleanse Mechanic

Barot jumps to the center. An expanding ring inflicts damage and burn on anyone caught inside.

Each party member drops three area-of-effect markers that leave poison puddles on the ground.

Barot hooks the furthest target, then slams the ground three times.

Each slam is a stack marker dealing approximately 100,000 damage total.

Before the slams: Everyone must stack together in front of the boss.

Red Tornado Aura:

Three members receive a red tornado aura.

Affected members can walk into the poison puddles to make them explode.

Walk on the edge of puddles to avoid burst damage.

If only one person has the aura, that player needs dedicated healing from the clerics.

Important: Uncleaned puddles explode widely the next time this mechanic occurs. Clean them before the cycle repeats.

Flash Bomb Mechanic

Barot drops a flash bomb and announces: "With a flash, it will dazzle your eyes."

Looking at the explosion obscures your entire screen except for a small circle.

Turn around immediately when you see the flash bomb drop.

Barot becomes untargetable at the start of this mechanic.

Follow-up Attacks (after each flash):

The first flash bomb is always followed by a bullet hell pattern (dodge vortex orbs).

Subsequent flashes randomly choose one of the following:

Bullet hell

Beam attack (turn 180 degrees to avoid)

Double point-blank area-of-effect into a donut pattern

Roll outs

If you get blinded: Aim your camera at the ground or run to the far end of the arena until your vision clears.

Mind Sweep Mechanic

Barot targets six random players. After the area-of-effect lands, affected players have spinning chains around them.

Bombs spawn randomly around the arena.

Barot casts Time Bomb. When the timer expires, any remaining bombs explode.

The Rules:

Chained players must run into bombs to remove both the chain and the bomb.

One bomb remaining does NOT wipe the group.

Two bombs remaining DOES wipe the group.

Additional Danger: Chained players who hit other party members push them back. Near the ledge, this can cause fatal falls.

Timing: The first Mind Sweep occurs immediately after the first flash bomb. In later occurrences, one bomb becomes a flashbang that blinds anyone hit by it.

Random Filler Mechanics (Occur Throughout the Fight)

Roll Attack
Barot drops onto his back and rolls toward a target. Getting hit knocks you down and applies a stackable burn. Two rolls target different players, followed by a backward roll.

Fireball Arc
Being too close to the origin of this attack can cause a one-shot from multiple hits. Keep your distance.

Lingering Orbs
Two orbs roam the arena for 40 seconds. Getting close sucks you in for high damage. These orbs can appear during major mechanics, so stay aware of their positions.

Point-Blank Area-of-Effects
These are blockable or dodgeable. They inflict a burn if you get hit.

Hook Chase
Barot chases a ranged player (usually a healer). He swipes twice, then shoots his hook. The hook deals damage on the way out and on the way back, pulling the target on the second hit.

Lingering Beam
Aimed at the furthest player. The beam turns 180 degrees. Dodge roll through it to survive.

Hydraulic Press
Every rectangle in the arena is targeted every 5 seconds. Getting hit deals heavy damage and knockdown. Keep moving.

Fight Timeline Summary

Up to 75% HP: Initial mechanics only.

75% to 50% HP: Filler clusters (Puddle Cleanse, Flash Bomb, Mind Sweep) occur between major phases

50% to 25% HP: Bomb throwing phase occurs at 50%, followed by filler mechanics until 25%.

25% HP to death: The bomb mechanic from Phase 1 repeats at 25%, followed by filler mechanics until the boss dies.

Note: Barot may perform Mind Sweep more frequently than expected between 50% HP and death. Stay alert.

Final Summary

Defeat Terminator Barot by following these key principles:

At 75% and 25%: Master the bomb positioning. Numbers 1,2,4,5,6,8 stand on bombs. Number 3 waits. Number 7 stands slightly off-center.

At 50%: Assign clerics to heal in the center while everyone else runs bombs to the ledge. Land 8 throws within 30 seconds.

Between phases: Handle Puddle Cleanse (stack before slams, use red tornadoes to clear puddles), Flash Bomb (turn around immediately), and Mind Sweep (chained players run into bombs).

Stay aware: Lingering orbs, roll attacks, and hydraulic presses can kill you during major mechanics.

Practice the positioning early so the group is ready for the final phase. Kill the boss and collect your rewards. Once you've secured your loot, you may need additional currency for enhancements and tuning; if that's the case, you can cheap Aion 2 Kinah from MMOEXP to quickly fund your post-raid upgrades without grinding for hours.
